Looking for Feminism 101 recommendations; designed forstraight, white, cisdudes who are trying not tobe so sexist.
- found reading “Black Girl Dangerous” pretty useful and have recommend it several times, though I learnt the most during activism.
- ‘We Should All Be Feminists’, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Man up by Jack Urwin, Everyday sexism laura bates, the ‘I call myself a feminist’ book. Man up is good male entry level stuff because ironically its a man they listen to men ¬.¬ Some things not expanded on enough but you get there later.
- The everyday sexism one has a lot of factsthat i think really bring to light how much we’re suffering under sexism but easy to digest
- For their humour value, How not to be a boy by Robert Webb, Animal by Sara Pascoe (although it’s mostly focussed on sexuality)
- Feminism is for Everybody by belle hooks.
- Everyday Sexism (the book)
- feminist fight club (book)
- Give them Grayson Perry’s ‘the descent of man’ for starters, as it will speak to them as men. Then ‘girls and sex’ by Peggy Orenstein x

- FYI we’re in the early stages of developing a series of workshops for men who want to be effective allies to women & NB people (as part of The Collective Liberation Project) based on our workshops for white people who want to be effective allies to POC
